Plants are 3D. Their software should be too.
EntropyX is the industrial CMMS that starts with a 3D twin of your facility — not a spreadsheet. We are building it because every other CMMS we have used assumes a planner enjoys hunting through a tree of asset codes to find a pump that is twenty feet behind them.
Why we are building this
Industrial maintenance is one of the most consequential, least well-tooled jobs in the world. A missed inspection leaks oil. A sloppy work order strands a refinery. A misread P&ID injures someone. The teams doing this work deserve software that respects how they actually think — in terms of equipment they can see, not codes they have to remember.
Form-first CMMS platforms made sense when the only data we had was rows and columns. Plants are already 3D. The interface should be too.
What we believe
- The asset is the interface. Click a pump, see its history, schedule its next service. No nine-step modal.
- AI should be native, not bolted on. Shelby reads your spec sheets and history, with citations back to the source — and never to a model trained on your data.
- Data sovereignty is non-negotiable. Your workspace content is not used to train shared models. Period.
- Reliability is a feature. A CMMS that goes down at 3 a.m. is worse than no CMMS at all.
- Say what is true. We do not claim certifications we do not hold. See the security page for what is real today and what is on the roadmap.
What we are working on now
EntropyXis in early access. We are onboarding a small group of design-partner plants to make sure the shape of the product is right before opening it up. If you operate or maintain a process plant — or work in mining, oil & gas, utilities, or chemicals — and want to be part of that, we would like to hear from you.
Founded
EntropyX, founded 2026. Headquartered in Paulshof, South Africa. Built by engineers who have been on the wrong side of a CMMS at 2 a.m.
